The company provides comprehensive, cost-effective, and innovative benefits intended to meet the varying needs of our employees. Health and Welfare Plans
SGI provides comprehensive medical coverage that offers most employees a choice of plans. Highlights include low out-of-pocket costs, prescription drug coverage, and preventative benefits. Our medical carriers are Cigna and Kaiser.
SGI offers comprehensive dental benefits through MetLife.
SGI offers comprehensive vision benefits through Vision Service Plan (VSP).
Flexible Spending Accounts
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are special accounts that allow you to set part of your income aside, on a pre-tax basis, to pay for eligible health care and dependent care expenses. SGI provides a health care spending account and a dependent care spending account.
SGI provides employees with basic life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment insurance at no cost to the employee at two times your annual earnings, up to a maximum of $350,000.
SGI provides Long-Term Disability income protection to employees at no cost.
SGI 401(K) Plan
The 401(k) Plan provides employees an opportunity to accumulate savings on a tax-deferred basis. Through payroll deductions, employees can direct up to 90% of their pre-tax earnings (up to an IRS annual maximum) into the savings plan. The Plan offers 23 investment funds. Employees may enroll, increase, decrease, change investment funds, transfer funds, or discontinue their contributions at any time by contacting the plan administrator.
SGI provides educational reimbursement for courses or degree programs directly related to an employee's job. Regular full-time employees that have completed the ninety day orientation period are eligible for educational assistance up to $2,000 annually.

Paid Time Off
Paid Time Off (PTO) combines vacation, sick, and other time off benefits into a single category. PTO may be used for vacation, personal illness or injury, family illness/injury, personal business or pursuits, or absence necessitated by an emergency.
SGI provides eleven paid holidays each year.
