SGI extends its environmental responsibilities beyond our operations and into the communities where we live and work.

In California, one of SGI's major initiatives is to assist local schools and the environment through supporting RAFT (Resource Area for Teachers). This program redistributes used equipment, materials, manufacturing by-products, and office supplies to K-12 schools, where they are utilized for math, science, and art projects.

SGI donated over $230,000 worth of furniture and office equipment to schools, non-profit organizations, city facilities, and rural volunteer fire departments since January 2002.

Commute Program
SGI actively encourages and supports carpooling, public transit, bicycling and telecommuting to improve air quality and reduce traffic congestion in our communities.

• Employees who ride public transit can save up to $500 per year with SGI's pre-tax transit program.
• Our Sunnyvale headquarters are located in close proximity to the public transit and Caltrain station.
• Employees who bicycle to SGI have access to secure bicycle parking and shower facilities.
