MYYEARBOOK.COM SELECTS RACKABLE SYSTEMS TO LEVERAGE DAY ONE ADVANTAGE AND POWER EFFICIENCY BENEFITS

Rackable Equips Third-Largest Online Social Networking Site with Innovative
and Eco-Logical™ High Density Servers

FREMONT, Calif., March 3, 2009 Rackable Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RACK), a leading provider of Eco-Logical™ servers and storage products for medium- to large-scale data centers, today announced that myYearbook.com, the third largest social network in the U.S, has adopted Rackable Systems' data center server solutions to support its fast-growing web infrastructure.

Founded by two New Jersey high school students, myYearbook boasts year-over-year growth of more than 250 percent, making the acquisition of scalable and economical data center solutions a top priority. myYearbook chose Rackable's 44U cabinets populated with Rackable C1002 half-depth servers to support its web applications, which serve a user base of over 10 million.

"Rackable's proven ability to ship a completely integrated data center solution, pre-racked and pre-wired, gave us an immediate competitive advantage; we saved more than 150 man-hours right there," said Jeremy Stinson, vice president of Network Operations at myYearbook. "Yet the overriding reason we chose Rackable servers to run almost 100 percent of our web tier is their extreme high density and low power consumption."

Rackable's Day One Advantage paradigm and patented half-depth server configurations allowed myYearbook to quickly and easily double the number of build-to-order servers it uses while simultaneously cutting overall power consumption by half. According to Stinson, myYearbook also credits Rackable's unrivalled thermal management efficiencies with reducing server temperatures by more than 20 percent, even given that the company can now employ twice the number of servers in the same physical space.

"myYearbook understands that cost savings from denser, lower power solutions can significantly bolster their bottom line as they scale for the future," said Tony Carrozza, senior vice president of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Rackable Systems. "Web leaders like myYearbook rely on Rackable's innovative data center designs for their superior scalability, energy-efficiency and best-in-class density."
