Executive Messages

Message from the CEO

SGI is keenly aware of its responsibility to maintain its well-established reputation in the U.S. as a company that promotes diversity in both its personnel hiring practices and the purchasing of its supplies and services. SGI established its diversity program in an effort to seek out small businesses and diverse suppliers. No supplier diversity program can be truly successful without each employee's individual commitment to support the program, particularly those U.S. employees that make or influence supplier decisions. Each of us is responsible for fostering an environment where diverse suppliers have the opportunity to compete. Please help make this program work.

Message from the President of SGI Federal

All of our federal customers have diversity program goals established to fulfill their commitment to reach out to small, socially and economically disadvantaged, HUBZone-located, veteran, women-owned, and minority businesses. Our commitment to diversity programs is second to none as reflected in the statement by the CEO of SGI. SGI Federal's goal is to reach out to these firms and to work together toward mutual growth and success in previously untapped areas.

Message from the Manager of Supplier Diversity

As SGI continues to grow as a leader in high-performance computing technology, we are committed to increasing diversity among our suppliers. At SGI, we believe the success of our business is directly related to the success of our suppliers. We have chosen to buy goods and services from small businesses that share our passion for excellence and commitment to diversity, creativity, and innovation.

SGI appreciates these businesses and values the crucial role they have played in the growth of our company. We are increasing our outreach efforts to make it easier for suppliers to meet managers and buyers to identify business opportunities and partnerships. SGI has a Web site that is available to internal and external customers and suppliers. SGI leverages our spending powers by entering into contractual relationships with select suppliers. On an ongoing basis, SGI updates its procedures and databases to support the Supplier Diversity Program. Our records indicate that the Supplier Diversity Program has contributed to SGI's continued success.
