Since 2003, SGI and Altair have worked together to develop an integrated solution for Altair's PBS Professional® workload scheduling and management software for SGI's high performance computing (HPC) customers. In 2013, Altair partnered with SGI as the primary hardware provider for their HyperWorks Unlimited™ offering, a fully configured hardware and software appliance for computer-aided engineering (CAE).
SGI and ANSYS have a long standing technical and marketing relationship spanning over 20+ years. SGI application engineers work closely with ANSYS software developers to test their ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS CFX, ANSYS Mechanical and ANSYS HFSS simulation software on SGI hardware platforms to provide our joint customers with a scalable and highly productive computing environment. SGI delivers a unified compute and storage solution to ANSYS customers reducing overall system management requirements and costs as well as simplifies data management and archival needs.
Cloudera offers organizations one place to store, process, and analyze all their data, empowering them to extend the value of existing investments while enabling new ways to derive value from their data. The joint solution, SGI® InfiniteData™ Cluster with Cloudera is designed to enable organizations perform Big Data analytics with faster, greater insight and at lower cost.
SGI and DDN work together to deliver the SGI® InfiniteStorage™ 17000, a differentiated block storage solution at the high end of the spectrum. Our unique partnership allows us to deliver products utilizing the most advanced processor technology, busses and memory with an optimized RAID engine and sophisticated data management algorithms. The IS17000 product family is purpose-built to simplify and tame big data growth, enabling you to architect and scale your environment more intelligently, efficiently and cost effectively than ever before.
SGI has partnered with Extreme Networks to address High Performance Compute (HPC) infrastructure. Extreme Networks network solutions are a part of SGI's InfiniteData™ Hadoop Cluster. SGI utilizes Summit® Top of Rack switches that are optimized for high performance 10 and 40 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The result is a resilient and powerful Ethernet fabric network that connects HPC and scales efficiently.
SGI and Intel have a solid 20 year partnership. Today our joint solutions range from our high end shared memory SGI® UV™ with using latest Intel® Xeon® E5 4600 V2 processor to our HPC distributed cluster SGI® ICE X™ with Intel® Xeon® E5 2600 V2. We also offer scale out SGI® Rackable® line especially ideal for big data solutions. These servers also come with the latest Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessors.
SGI's strong partnership with Network Appliance delivers the SGI® InfiniteStorage™ 5000 series (IS5000) RAID platform which combines leading-edge hardware with a choice of host interfaces and drive technologies. This field-proven storage platform offers SGI customers a highly modular, flexible and cost-effective path to consolidated storage. It delivers linear scalability and proven reliability combined with high IOPS and throughput. The IS5000 series perfectly complements SGI® UV™ and SGI® ICE™ server family.
SGI has partnered with NICE to offer the SGI® VizServer™ system with NICE Desktop Cloud Visualization™ (DCV) software. SGI VizServer is a commercially supported hardware and software solution that delivers efficient and optimized remote access to graphic-intensive, off-the-shelf 3D applications running on both a Windows® and Linux® desktop environments, including major CAD, CAE, Petro-technical, medical and scientific visualization software.
SGI and NVIDIA have a strong partnership that spans the breadth of SGI GPU solutions - from SGI® Rackable® solutions to the unique shared memory SGI® UV™ platform. SGI also offers NVIDIA's professional visualization products with the latest NVIDIA Quadro cards. NVIDIA-based solutions from SGI have made a real impact on customer workloads ranging from stock trading algorithms in the financial sector to researchers analyzing the origins of the universe.
Targeting the high-end supercomputing, large-scale database and data analytic environments, the combination of SGI's systems: SGI® UV™, SGI® ICE™ X, SGI® Rackable® and Red Hat Enterprise Linux paves the way for customers in the government, intelligence, and scientific communities to deliver more meaningful scientific and technical results. As we enter the next generation of computing, moving from petaflops to exaflops, SGI and Red Hat are enabling some of the industry's most mission-critical and large-scale computing applications.
One of SGI's newest strategic partnerships is with SAP. Our joint solutions will tackle the high end of the enterprise market. As of today, SGI® UV™ 2000 is SLES KVM virtualization certified for SAP NetWeaver business application tools. SGI is also developing a new in memory computing appliance based on SAP HANA that will enable real-time business at extreme scale and high availability, without complexity.
SGI® OmniStor™ is a complete scale-out storage solution that offers the kind of flexibility and performance that is normally associated with conventional RAID platforms, but without the limitations of such architectures. SGI OmniStor incorporates both disk-based scale out storage for public and private cloud architectures, while also enabling native NFS/CIFS access at performance levels that rival conventional RAID solutions.
With solutions that scale from departmental applications to hundreds of Petabytes, SpectraLogic delivers economical large-scale long-term storage with its family of automated tape libraries. In addition, Spectra Logic solutions include innovative features, including support for the latest generation of LTO-6 drives, integrated encryption, and media management and health monitoring tools to deliver both cost efficient capacity and simplified management.
SGI has a long standing partnership with SUSE developing Linux for High Performance Computing. SUSE was first to scale a single-system image of Linux to run on 4096 cores and 64 TB memory on SGI™ UV™ servers. There is on-going joint cooperation on projects between SGI and SUSE including improvement and advancement of XFS. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server powers many of the world's top 500 HPC systems including the SGI® ICE™ X systems: NASA Pleiades and TOTAL Pangea.
