High Efficiency Power Options
SGI's Eco-Logical™ servers and storage are designed to reduce power consumption and increase system-level efficiency and reliability. Leveraging low wattage components with high Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) ratings — with careful focus on the power supply in a given system — is an important design criteria. Available with both high efficiency Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC) power supplies, SGI servers and storage systems feature a broad range of power distribution options compatible with any data center design: AC Power Innovations SGI's Eco-Logical servers and storage systems are designed to optimize efficiency in any data center environment by providing a range of flexible power conversion options. Nearly all our servers and storage systems are available with industry-standard 100-240 volt auto-switching AC power supplies, achieving industry-leading efficiency levels of up to 92.5%. In addition to our high-value standard AC power supplies, select server models feature optional redundant power supplies with MTBFs exceeding 1 million hours, independently cabled for additional power circuit redundancy. AC-based server and storage systems from SGI are cost-effective and can be deployed in any rack or two-post mount design. When deployed in SGI racks, up to 96 AC-based servers can be deployed in a single rack - achieving industry-leading density and the processing capacity of 768 cores in a small footprint. Blind power mating inside the rack and easy serviceability with I/O and cabling in front make this highly dense solution easy to deploy and maintain. | |
