Silicon Graphics DMediaPro

The Silicon Graphics DMediaPro series of digital media products is available for the complete line of SGI® workstations, visualization systems, and servers. These products are designed for high-quality uncompressed input and output of standard- and high-definition video and audio. SGI also offers interfaces designed specifically for real-time graphics-to-video output (GVO). This capability is ideal for real-time colorspace conversion, so artists can view their work simultaneously in both RGB and video colorspace. GVO products are also widely used in live television applications for real-time on-air graphics.

Graphics Video Output (GVO)

High-Definition Graphics-to-Video Out (HD GVO)
The SGI HD GVO option provides the capability to generate, process, and manipulate digital HD content in real time and is ideal for broadcasters generating graphics in HDTV formats for virtual sets, template graphics, and real-time character generation. SGI HD GVO supports SMPTE specifications 292M and 256M for transmission. Image formats include 480i, 576i, 720p, 1035i, 1080i, and 1080p.

High-Definition and Standard-Definition Graphics-to-Video Output (DMediaPro DM5)
DMediaPro DM5 delivers high-definition (HD) and standard-definition (SD) video graphics-to-video output. DM5 is designed to be used in conjunction with Silicon Graphics visual workstations with DMediaPro DM2 and DMediaPro DM3 to deliver unrivaled desktop video quality, versatility, and performance. The graphics quality and system bandwidth of Silicon Graphics visual workstations plus the HD capabilities of DMediaPro products create today's most powerful desktop HD solution for visual effects, editing, and compositing applications.

Scalable Graphics Capture

Silicon Graphics Scalable Graphics Capture (SGC) Card
The Silicon Graphics SGC card provides SGI visualization systems with the ability to accelerate readback performance and overall frame rates to as high as 60 Hz. Multiple SGC cards can be leveraged to provide optimal performance on systems with multiple graphics pipes.

Standard-Definition Digital I/O (DMediaPro DM6)
DMediaPro DM6 for Silicon Graphics high-performance visualization systems and desktop workstations offers high-quality uncompressed SD digital video at an attractive solution price. This PCI-based option delivers all of the functionality you would expect in a professional video solution. It offers industry-standard BNC connections to external video devices via serial digital interfaces for video I/O and an analog genlock input for locking to house sync.

PCI Digital Audio I/O Board (Radical Audio)
The PCI Digital Audio I/O board provides high-quality digital audio I/O with resolution up to 24 bits and sampling rates up to 48 kHz. The board supplies eight channels of ADAT optical I/O and two channels of AES/EBU I/O The board supports full audio/video synchronization and has a connector for external clocks.
