The SGI® Origin® 3000 series of servers comes with a limited manufacturer's product warranty that includes:

Hardware warranty coverage

  • Available Monday through Friday, normal business hours (nine hours per day, determined locally)
  • One-year on-site hardware parts repair and replacement with next-business-day on-site response time
Software warranty coverage
  • Telephone technical assistance (first 90 days only)
  • Software updates are not included
  • Applies only to operating systems installed by SGI

Recommended Services for SGI Origin 3000 Series
SGI® FullExpress™ Fast, comprehensive software and hardware support delivered by SGI service experts. Features a four-hour on-site response for hardware support, telephone technical assistance, and software updates for SGI® software products.
Mission-Critical This is the highest level of service available from SGI. It provides 7x24 support with a two-hour, on-site hardware response and a six-hour system-restoration commitment. A designated Technical Account Manager coordinates SGI support. Includes telephone technical assistance and software updates for SGI® software products.
IRIX® Implementation (PDF 68K) Get on the fast track to productivity. Includes IRIX software installation and configuration, disk/tape management, serial device connectivity, and a range of system administration services.
Deployment Services (PDF 64K) Expert installation according to desired hardware configuration. Hardware upgrades, system relocation, and network integration services are available.
UPSafe® Implementation Unexpected power surges and blackouts cause damage to computer systems. Protect your investment and valuable data with an uninterruptible power system. Includes software and a bumper-to-bumper, next-business-day service warranty.
