Building upon 21 years of in-memory computing expertise, SGI UV advanced symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) systems provide cache-coherent shared memory for the most compute- and data-intensive application workloads. These Linux- and Intel-based servers utilize SGI NUMAlink® interconnect technology to deliver extreme scale-up performance with single-system simplicity. UV servers are ideal solutions for workloads that are challenging to run in high performance computing (HPC) clusters, compete for fat nodes, or too big for one node. You can leverage UV systems as a "super node" for clustered high performance computing (HPC) and, equipped with an integrated MPI Offload Engine, fully optimize applications developed for distributed computing. Compute-Intensive Applications

SGI UV 3000 and SGI UV 30

New SGI UV 3000 and SGI UV 30 systems are designed for compute-intensive, fast algorithm workloads such as CAE, genome assembly, and scientific simulations. Featuring Intel® Xeon® E5-4600 v3 processors and a NUMAlink topology with ultra-high scalability, these servers provide a greater processor to memory ratio.

SGI UV 3000 scales from 4 to 256 CPU sockets with up to 64TB of shared memory as a single system. Designed for smaller environments, SGI UV 30 is a 2U, 4-socket server that delivers up to 3TB of in-memory computing power. SGI UV 2000 is the predecessor to UV 3000, and for which customers can continue scaling up their existing systems.

Data-Intensive Applications

SGI UV 300 and SGI UV 30EX

Newly enhanced SGI UV 300 and SGI UV 30EX servers are designed for data-intensive, I/O heavy workloads such as data analytics, visualization, and real-time streaming. Featuring Intel® Xeon® E7-8800 v3 processors and a NUMAlink topology with ultra-low latency, these servers provide a greater memory to processor ratio.

SGI UV 300 scales from 4 to 64 sockets with up to 64TB of shared memory in a single system. Designed for smaller environments, SGI UV 30EX is a 5U, 4-socket server providing up to 6TB of in-memory computing power. SGI UV 300H is a model of the UV 300 designed for SAP HANA environments.
