The newest addition to this line is SGI Modular InfiniteStorage Server (SGI MIS Server) a breakthrough storage server platform that delivers extreme density by packaging up to two motherboards together with up to 72 3.5" SAS or SATA drives or 144 2.5" SAS or SSD drives within a single 4U, chassis. Each of the two compute engines in SGI MIS Server provides dual socket capability which will be populated with one or two processors from the future Intel® Xeon® processor E5 family.
