This four day, hands-on course is a highly technical look at the features of GroupWise 8 from the Administrator's side and how to trouble-shoot these features. The labs in this class focus on leveraging GroupWise features to make administration and troubleshooting a GroupWise 8 system more efficient.

• Get introduced to new GroupWise 8 features
• Learn to upgrade and apply any Support Packs and Hot Patches to GroupWise 8
• Learn to work with GroupWise 8 on Linux
• Migrate GroupWise to a Linux Server or any other support Server OS
• Work with GroupWise Internet Service (Internet Proxy Access, GroupWise Internet Agent, and Webaccess)
• Harden GroupWise Security (LDAP Authentication & SSL Encryption)
• Utilize GroupWise Add-on features (GroupWise Monitor, GroupWise Mobile Server and Novell Messenger)
• Troubleshoot GroupWise and utilize maintenance tools
• Understand common issues and their solutions (Backup and restore, Moving users, and Performance)

Target Audience

This course will focus on all the new features and functionality of Novell Identity Manager 3.5. In addition to the new features, the course will also cover the core product functionality at an advanced level. Some of the material will overlap from the previous ATT Identity Manager 3 class. Any past Identity Manager 3 attendee should take this course to gain additional knowledge and experience with the product.

Prerequisites

• Before taking this course, you should have experience administering GroupWise and have knowledge of Novell eDirectory™, TCP/IP protocols, IP addressing and OS administration
