This course makes it easier than ever for uses to interface with critical corporate systems based on their identity in the organization. This new add-on delivers advanced workflow capability allowing users to streamline their own administration. As users become more involved in managing and requesting resources, self-service capabilities are important for increased employee productivity and reduced IT administration.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:

• Understanding user identity self-service
• Creating custom pages
• Adding additional relations to the Org Chart portlet
• Understanding requests and approvals
• Provisioning using entitlements and default workflow templates
• Customizing workflow process definitions and forms

Prerequisites

• Students should have one of the following:
  • Extensive, hands-on experience with Novell Identity Manager policies or
  • Novell Identity Manager 3 or
  • Novell Identity Manager 3.5
• Students must have Identity Manager meta-directory skills such as configuring drivers, filters, policies, etc before attending
• Development experience with a programming language such as Java, JavaScript etc. is highly recommended.
