Novell Cluster Services (NCS) an eDirectory enabled product supporting 32 nodes in a cluster providing a fail-safe system for both data and network services. The course is based on an implementation of NCS 1.7.1 on NetWare 6.5 (SP1) using the iSCSI protocol. Most importantly, as the architecture of this version of NCS predominantly the same as previous versions of NCS, you will receive the same benefits whether you have a current implementation or are planning a new installation.

• Understanding, planning NCS and implementing Storage Area Network including iSCSI
• Installing and managing Novell Cluster Services using iSCSI
• Creating cluster resources (DHCP, DNS, NDPS, GroupWise, iFolder, FTP, etc.)
• Tuning a cluster configuration (Operating System/Novell Storage Services, NSS)
• NCS architecture and fail over algorithms.
• New storage management features of NSS (volume split/move and DFS junctions) on NetWare 6.5 will also be covered.
• Tuning and Troubleshooting

Prerequisites

• Knowledge of NetWare Operating System
• Good understanding of Novell Storage Services (NSS) on NetWare 6 or above
• Course 3000 "Upgrading to NetWare 6 or higher
