Objectives

  • Set up and configure nine systems into three local area networks (LANs) using multiple routes between the individual LANs
  • Integrate SGI® systems into an existing homogeneous network
  • Identify and troubleshoot poor network performance issues
  • Administer the configuration files for the Domain Name Service
  • Configure and share resources using Samba on IRIX
  • Configure and customize NIS
  • Configure and implement the LDAP client-server model
  • Configure and implement the Apache web server
  • Configure mail clients, relays, and gateways using sendmail
  • Configure server and client systems to support DHCP operations
  • Configure and manage RoboInst operations
