SGI Installation Policy
Local exceptions may apply. Contact your local Service Manager for details specific to your region/country. Initial system installation* is currently included with the purchase of the following standard SGI® systems:

Post-Initial System Installation: Upgrade, Add-on and Reconfiguration Installation and/or system reconfiguration services are not included with the purchase of any hardware upgrades and/or add-ons. Inquire with your SGI sales representative whether a particular hardware upgrade and/or add-on component purchased is customer-installable. Installation of servers or storage products purchased for integration in to an existing compute environment is determined based on the newly purchased system's warranty. Hardware upgrade and/or add-on components for the following systems are customer-installable; however, installation services are strongly recommended and may be purchased as SGI Managed Services.
