Transferring Warranty and Support Contracts

This Web site provides details on the process of transferring warranty and support contracts when exporting an SGI system from one country to another.

Please review and familiarize yourself with this information prior to contacting SGI to arrange for a support transfer. Timely execution of the process is largely dependent on the completeness of the information required by SGI to coordinate the process between the country from which the system will be exported (country of origin) and the country in which it will eventually be installed (country of destination).

As noted in the guidelines, the entire process takes an average of 15 working days for systems that are customer installable and 30 working days for systems that SGI must install when they reach their destination. However, this is highly dependent upon the quality of the information furnished on the application.
